Backpacks Can Affect Your Children's Health. Carrying a heavy load that is unevenly or improperly distributed can result in poor posture; and even distort the spinal column, throwing it out of alignment. This can cause muscle strain, headaches, back, neck and arm pain, and even nerve damage. For example, a heavy backpack, carried on one shoulder, forces the muscles and spine to compensate for the uneven weight. This places stress on the mid and lower back, and may increase the likelihood of back problems later in life.

Running and jogging can be phenomenal health-boosting activities. However, as with any sport, injuries can sideline even the best of intentions. As part of the chiropractic approach to sports injury prevention, Dr. Wozniak focuses on teaching runners and joggers how to ward off injury before it occurs. When injury does take place, chiropractic offers all-natural solutions, which allow athletes to avoid surgery and medication.

This month’s exercise is designed to reduce neck and shoulder tension. Remember not to bounce. Stretches should be held for 20-30 seconds and repeated 3x in a row. |
Sadly, many people wait too long before they have their first spinal examination. Often decay of the spine is advanced, and damage to the nervous system has been ongoing for years or even decades. This often leads to pain and loss of vitality. Happily, thousands of people experience the wonderful changes to their health and well-being after starting chiropractic care.
